Tour de France
Le Tour de France is a long distance road bicycle race occurring over three weeks in July, in and around France. The number of stages can vary. Recently the tour has consisted of about 20 stages with a total length between 3,000 and 4,000 km.

There are various jerseys awarded for different categories throughout the stages of the race. Riders then wear the corresponding jersey during the next stage.

Yellow - awarded to the overall time leader. |
|
Green - awarded for the most sprint points. |
|
Polka dots - awarded to the "King of the Mountain" for points earned climbing hills. |
|
White - awarded to the best young rider. (under 25 years of age as of January 1st the year of the race.) |
