Hockey Stanley Cup Champions
The Stanley Cup trophy is the top team prize in North American Hockey. It
is named for the Canadian governor-general who first presented it to an
amateur team in 1893. The trophy is polished silver, 3 feet high and 35
pounds. There are five removable rings at the base, each listing 13 teams
and their players which remain on the cup for 64 years.
